ABOUT ME
Writing About the World
I'm a general assignment reporter at U.S. News & World Report, mainly serving the Government Rankings team. While I'm most passionate about immigration and the issues refugees face, I also enjoy being able to write about a little bit of everything -- from the Russia-Ukraine war to climate change. I am adept at writing several types of stories, such as quick dailies, explainer pieces and longer features.
I started as U.S. News as an intern in early 2020 after earning my master's degree in multi-platform journalism at the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism in December 2019. During and prior to grad school, I wrote for The Boston Globe Magazine, The Baltimore Sun, the University of Maryland’s Capital News Service and my hometown newspaper, the Virgin Islands Daily News.
